While Japan's blood type obsession is long-established, Korea experienced a wave of "blood type boom" content in the 2000s driven by Japanese pop culture imports. Type B is stereotyped as selfish and uncommitted in Korean media, to the point that saying someone is "Type B" has become an insult. The science hasn't changed; the stigma has been localized.
